Die Glocknerrunde

The film follows a seven-day tour around the Grossglockner, the fascinating 3,798-metre peak in the Austrian Alps. It shows the beautiful nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park and some of the highest peaks in Austria. It also tells a little story about three German volunteers who see this world through their own “big city” eyes. A year before the earthquake in Japan and its tremendous tsunami, the film’s shots of floods and earthquakes anticipated by chance what happened shortly afterwards in reality.
