The Antarctic Dive

In 2018 Colombian cliff diver Orlando Duque, 13-time world champion, joins Colombia’s fourth scientific expedition to Antarctica. His goal is the most spectacular dive of his life: from an iceberg more than 20 metres high into the freezing sea. The film also tells of the research projects aboard the navy ship ARC 20 de Julio, on climate change and whale migration among others. Scientists and crew explain their work in interviews. Duque supports the projects and hosts the documentary. The journey covers more than 10,000 kilometres: by plane from Colombia to Chile, then by ship from Punta Arenas.
