Post-production
Post-production in our own edit suite in Carinthia, Austria: video editing, intense colour grading, music and sound design from one team. We have edited our own films since 1995, from festival short film and documentary to TV highlight. Your project gets the same care, whether it is an image film, a commercial, a music video or a sports clip.
Video editing: turning footage into a story
The edit decides what a film tells. Thomas Miklautsch, our founder, is a director, camera operator and editor. He edited “Witchburn” (2021) together with A. W. Grill. The short film about a cook who falls under suspicion in the Pinzgau in 1574 earned 10 festival selections, including finalist at Venice Shorts.
On commissioned productions, too, the edit was ours: at the Red Bull X-Alps for Red Bull’s TV production, at the 2009 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Tour and on the 2017–2019 sports videos for the energy supplier Kelag. That is how highlights in 26 and 52 minutes, trailers and short clips come about.
Colour grading and sound design
Our colour grading is intense. Colour and light take on the mood a story needs, whether in the freezing sea of Antarctica, on the murky Amazon or in the storm over the Pinzgau.
Music and sound design are part of the job. For these we work with specialists from our network, depending on the project: for “Witchburn”, Hamlet Fiorilli wrote the music, Bertram Knappitsch did the sound and Freiaudio was the sound studio. Sound has long mattered to us: in 2005 “5 Elements” won Best Soundtrack in Santander as well as Best Film.
